Hope you are ready for some serious fashion shows coming up because Portland Fashion Week is coming to the convention center this Thursday-Saturday. There are several events happening during the days, but we are most excited about the evening shows on each day. There’s going to be a lot going on at the event as well; live music during the runway show, after parties, pop up retail shop, art installations and even fireworks!

There are so many talented designers that will be present at the event but we picked a few to highlight. For more information on the show, tickets and the designers, check out Portland Fashion Week's official website.

BRIANA JACOBS

Briana Jacobs may be new to the Portland Fashion Scene but her designs show no sign of inexperience. Prior to Briana starting her own clothing line, she gained experience and understanding of fashion through modeling and styling. Briana’s incorporation of clean lines and bold colors allow her clothing to be both incredibly stylish as well as easy to wear. Briana’s clothing will be shown on the runway in the evening on Thursday, September 12th at 8pm.

KATE S. MENSAH

The true originality and different cultural incorporations that are expressed throughout Kate Mensah’s gorgeous designs can be attributed to her upbringing. With influences from Europe, Africa, as well as the United States, Kate has created numerous elegant and feminine pieces that would complete any woman’s wardrobe. Kate’s designs will shown on the runway in the evening on Friday September 13th at 8pm.

BUILT FOR MAN

Designing clothes for men can be tricky when trying to find ways to put a new, unique spin on the basic blazer or simple pullover sweater. Built for Man has created classic and utterly chic designs that still follow through with their vision of only using natural fabrics. Their clothing can transform any man’s basic wardrobe into a collection sophisticated and versatile items with just a few pieces. We can’t wait to see Built for Man’s new designs on the runway at the finale show on Saturday September 14th in the evening.
