She uses natural fabrics such as cottons, silks and bamboos in her collections.http://www.lizarietz.com/Emily Ryan, another longstanding designer, produces two small collections a year. She's inspired by 1920s costumes, science fiction and Japanese fashion, such as her origami swing dress in her Etsy shop.http://www.etsy.com/shop/
WEDNESDAYRontomsThe Portland Collection, a collaboration among three Portland designers, merges the iconic tradition and quality of Pendleton with contemporary design. Rachel Turk, Nathaniel Crissman and John Blasioli, the faces behind the collection, will present the third line of desert tones mixed with jacquards from Pendleton archival blankets. And if that doesn't get you excited, the local Portland band, LOVERS (we wrote about these gals when we first started and they are amazing) will be accompanying the FALL2013 presentation.Image courtesy: http://portlandcollection.net/THURSDAYDig A PonyImmaculate Martin is Open Season's enigma: This partnership of two apparently well-known Portland designers are held tight under wraps.
