Worn Path, the new place on North Mississippi - yes, the one that scooped up Mississippi Records’ old spot - is definitely making a name for itself in that block of shops. The spot has some serious appeal. Large, open windows, wooden tables with vintage skateboards and clothes to die for - this store is one of a kind. The man behind it all, Niles Armstrong, had a vision for the shop’s look way before the actual opening and we feel he executed it per-fect-ly.The inspiration for the shop came from his deepest desire to get people to be outside more and enjoy nature. From camping in the woods to surfing in the ocean; to skateboarding down the street to walking around the neighborhood identifying plants; to relaxing in the park. Worn Path is home to all things you need for the outdoors.Along with the gadgets and attire, there are books about just how to enjoy the variety of nature we have access to. Surfboards to catch some waves. Hats, shirts, dresses and necklaces to rock on sunny days in Portland. Along with the gadgets and attire, there are books about just how to enjoy the variety of nature we have access to. Even a survivor's guide to camping. The store has something for everyone, outdoorsy men and women alike.
The store will soon be home to more than just items. Niles wants to utilize the space for events to raise funds for people and organizations that promote nature. This is his own way of positively influencing the way we think about nature. So go make your positive influence on nature today and check out Worn Path. Who knows where it can lead you.
