Vinylogy Last Thursday night at the Cruzroom I had the pleasure of catching Vinylogy - a group of four Turntablists and a drummer who have been playing shows around Portland since 2008. The all-vinyl crew (made up of djantix1200, Ryan Organ, c4rr13r and Josh-T) intertwine Drum and Bass, hip-hop and downtempo records while Alex Feletar hammers out fast-paced percussion on the Octapad. Vinylogy's selection, which Organ points out is all freestyled, keeps a focus on giving the crowd rhythms to dance to.Check Vinylogy featured in the video below and be sure to catch these DJs taking turns on the tables at the Cruzroom every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month, or keep an eye out for when they unites like Voltron to rock another set on the back patio.
