On Sunday night, E+E covered one of the better recent hip-hop shows to come through the Roseland Theater: ZeeloperZ, our homie Raz Simone, and Danny Brown. Detroit's twenty-year-old ZeelooperZ opened the show in his gangly manner, jumping around and spraying bottles of water on the young mosh pit.
Afterwards, Raz kept the momentum going in proper Black Umbrella fashion, bringing out his bassist and keyboardist to accompany him on classics like "8 Rangs," "Thirsty" and of course "Hometown," all from his "Cognitive Dissonance" album.
At one point, Raz even teased the crown between songs: "I thought the best city in Oregon was Bend?" he said, before laying across the sea of eager hands to take an Instagram.Accompanied by the Bruiser Brigade, Danny Brown came out with the top of his fade dyed green and some glasses that look like they belonged to John Lennon. The Roseland lost its shit as the adderall admiral spat his flamboyant but pungent raps over heavy Skywlkr beats like "Kush Coma" and "Handstand." In case you missed it, here are some footage to help you readjust to the workweek.
