TOURING AMERICA: FRANKMUSIK

"He belts it out!" yells a friend over Vincent Frank set last week at Doug Fir. The singer/songerwriter behind Frankmusik, the UK heartthrob made his way to Portland last week and the intimate audience grooved to his music, totally forgetting it was a Monday. He has been touring America for awhile and has been sharing his adventures via Facebook with all his fans. He even crashed on a friends couch while he was in Portland. All in all, his talents blew us away, so don't be surprised if he's all over the radio/tv/magazines soon.

EYES + EDGE: Frankmusik has been touring throughout America for a few weeks now. What's your favorite moment/moments so far?Frankmusik: Driving through Montana. That is a whole other level of beauty. We were driving to Missoula from Salt lake and the whole crew were picking their jaws up off the floor the entire way.E+E: Are your fans in the UK different than the fans in the US?
FM: I think every fan I have ever met is different. Every single person has a new story on how they got into my music and what their favorite song is. Geography is secondary but the music brings all the fans together for the same reason. They have found something unique and I feel my fans are part of a private club no matter where they are in the world.E+E: When you return home, will you begin working on your 4th albumn? Should we expect anything different?FM: Yes, I will indeed be starting album 4 as soon as I get home. It will be a healthy continuation from "Between". This album will be about love and sex. Most of my music has been to do with parting. But I feel I want to celebrate love instead of just drowning in its darker avenues.
E+E: Finally, what's your favorite city in America so far? Why?FM: St. Louis. I just love that city. The people there are so much fun and for me that's what makes any place. Photo Courtesy: Frankmusik Facebook page
