Her fun sound is making waves in the Portland scene and we are excited to see her live tomorrow night. Read on and join us at Holocene! Show starts at 9pm!EYES & EDGE: E&E is looking forward to your new project releasing in 2016. How will it be different from your current sound? The Last Artful, Dodgr: My next project is going to be entirely different from Fractures. It's a bit brighter sonically and will have more colorful commentary. I'm working with a few producers for my Fresh Selects release, so each soundscape will vary quite a bit. Can't wait for you guys to hear it.
E&E: You grew up in sunny Los Angeles but what brought you up to Portland?
Dodgr: I needed to get out of my college town and figure out how to make a name for myself without having to go back to LA straight away. A few of my dearest friends were living here and I had already begun making connections with local talent. Really, it was the next obvious move. And the smartest if you ask me.
E&E: Where would you like to see music go in the New Year? What are you most looking forward to see change?
Dodgr: Totes looking forward to having more ears paying attention to what I'm doing. Word of mouth is the most powerful tool. People share things they like and I have no doubt they're going to love what I have coming.
