Portland is known for being quirky and unique. That’s why no one even bats an eye at the prospect of drinking organic, handmade teas out of an old train caboose. At the Sellwood location of Tea Chai Té, customers can kick back and relax with a variety of tea offerings. Out of their 120+ handcrafted teas, 75 are completely organic and 15 are chai blends. If you’re looking for something a bit more adventurous, try a house-brewed kombucha or a bubble tea.
The atmosphere in the red caboose is one of utter tranquility. Customers are encouraged to linger over their teas and take advantage of the free WIFI. Though we don’t even want to think about the inevitable rainy season, this would surely be the perfect place to cozy up with a book or good conversation on a drizzly afternoon.
Tea Chai Té shows a lot of local love, featuring decadent treats from Two Tarts Bakery, Pie Spot, and Black Sheep Bakery (vegan). For those who want a savory option to warm their bones, Tea Chai Té offers soup from Souper Natural. The people behind Tea Chai Té believe that “tea is a liquid hug for the soul” and we wholeheartedly agree!
Some favorites: Lavender Honey Bubble Tea. Blue Flower Earl Grey.
