EYES + EDGE: How has Portland inspired your music throughout the years?Ben Braun: Portland gives us a backdrop for our writing.

On rainy days it's nice to confine yourself to the studio and bury yourself in new music. We find portland to be a creatively diverse place to live and it's really great to be involved in the local music community.

E+E: Why is the new album titled 'Arcadia'? We love the name, need the story!

BB: When we these songs started taking shape we realized that a theme was developing.

The definition of Arcadia is; any real or imaginary place offering peace and simplicity. We felt like the title Arcadia encompassed the mood the songs made us feel, and then when paired with the awesome artwork by Ursula Barton, it all just seemed to fit. Arcadia is our imaginary world that gives us a sense of harmony and these songs are what fill it.

 

E+E: People know you as a dreamy electro pop & synthrock duo. What else should people know you as?

BB: People should know we are good friends. We both love to cook. We love music and discovering new bands and we hope some of you are discovering us for the first time and loving it!
