SALT & STRAW SPRING TEA ICE CREAM SERIES - THIS APRIL

Salt & Straw has collaborated with three Portland tea makers, Dragonfly Chai, Steven Smith Teamaker and Townshend’s Tea Company, to “create five refreshing flavors that capture their unique blends along with the essence of spring in Oregon”.

April Tea Flavors (brace yourself):

Dragonfly Chai - Kombucha Sorbet (good vegan alternative) - Lotus Seed Matcha - Meadow Marmalade and Peaches - "Phat Thai" Iced Tea

YAKUZA EASTER EGG HUNT

Let’s just say, we love everything about North Portland’s, Yakuza (article coming very soon). Not only does it appeal to the adult sushi loving crowd, but this Sunday they will be hosting their annual Easter egg hunt for you and the kids. We call it, Easter Fusion. The festivities start at 5pm.

PORTLANDIA BIERGARTEN

Farm to Fork brings you a Bavarian-Style Biergarten with a Portland flare featuring 6 Local-Specialty Brews, Wurst and Such, Pretzels, Eis Cream, Hasselhoff, you get the idea.

PACIFIC PIE CO. CLASSES

Nothing says spring any season really, like fresh pies. Pacific Pie Co. offers classes on pie making where you will have a pie to bring home, crust left over for your next one and the skills of Julia Child. They don’t say “stuff your pie hole” for nothing.

GARDEN BOOTCAMP CLASSES

The beautiful and enchanting Garden Bootcamp tucked away in the SW countryside, is hosting all sorts of classes to keep your garden growing this spring. Learn how to start your own raised bed, prune roses, plant veggie gardens and operate irrigation. Jenna has the ultimate green thumb and will be able to answer all your gardening questions. Plus, it is nice to get out of the “city” and enjoy her beautiful property for a couple hours.  See class schedule HERE.

PORTLAND FARMHOUSE AND WILD ALE FESTIVAL

Portland's first ever Farmhouse and Wild Ale Festival celebrates U.S. brewers who have embraced the styles of Saison, Biere de Garde and Brettanamyoces inflected beers which vary from light to strong, earthy, spicy, fruity and funky tart. There will be more than 20 farmhouse style beers from across the country with outdoor seating to enjoy the gorgeous (crossing fingers) weather.

RED RIDGE FARMS SPRING CLASSES

Red Ridge Farms is offering three new classes to help guests make the most of the spring season. There is everything from making miniature gardens using indoor plants and natural materials, all-natural olive oil based body products or master the art of tea making, using tea grown locally in the Pacific Northwest.

Also stop in Radish Underground for their First Thursday featuring local artist, Heather Treadway’s spring collection inspired from her trip to Joshua Tree.
