Photo by: Portland Dining MonthJune brings the promise of sunshine and warmer days (fingers crossed), but also an abundance of amazing food and drink specials. Starting June 1st, locals and visitors will have the opportunity to feast on beautiful three-course meals at $29 each for Portland Dining Month (check out our interview with Bar Avignon chef, Eric Joppie, from last year's event). For the entire month of June, over 85 top Portland restaurants—like Yakuza, Aviary, Clyde Common and Departure—will offer the Dining Month prix fixe deal (see the entire list here). Through a partnership with OpenTable, for every reservation booked on OpenTable through the Portland Dining Month website, Downtown Portland will make a donation to the Oregon Food Bank. High-quality food, an unbeatable price and a charitable component? This is a deal that cannot be beat.Photo by: NostranaAccording to Imbibe Magazine, it's Negroni Week! This marks the return of the third annual, invite-only Negroni Social at Nostrana. There will be 12 of Portland's greatest bartenders paying tribute to the "quintessential Italian cocktail" with 12 Negroni variations. Just like years prior, the party will benefit Outside In, an organization that provides resources for homeless youth. Entrance to this exclusive party won't come easy, but Nostrana has offered a few ways to earn yourself a coveted invite (see the handy infographic above). If you aren't one of the chosen few to attend the Negroni Social, don't fret! From now through June 3rd, tons of bars and restaurants—like Kask, Aalto Lounge, St. Jack and Lardo—will be serving up Negroni variations of their own. One dollar will be donated to Outside In for every Negroni purchase made through these participating institutions.
