NEW PRODUCT FROM REVOLUTION DESIGN HOUSE

Last year, we profiled a local company that was on the rise. Revolution Design House, an American made furniture and accessory company, has grown and recently their Boxcar Planters have completely taken off. Have you seen them yet? Well, they are beautiful! We love the slick, modern design made out of beautiful wood and a splash of color.After five straight months of hand crafting each and every set of Boxcar Planters (we have been by the studio a few times and have seen the love that is put into these beauties) the RDH team has created their first ever light series. On Friday, they will unveil and begin to sell their newest product, The Boxcar Electric! The Boxcar Electric is a mix of an Edison lightbulb with the Boxcar planter body. We can already imagine buying a few of them and lining our bedside tables, shelves that need a bit more light, or that one spot in the house that needs a little extra design love to it.

You have to wait until Friday for a photo of the light, but we can show you a sneak peak of what the back of the light will look like. Want to see the Boxcar Light in person? The new light will be making an appearance at the auction during Design Week Portland next month. RDH will be debuting a special edition of their new series along with a handful of other designers showing off their goods. The auction, which has been created to encourage cross-pollination between design and art will help promote a sustainable economy between the creator and buyer, will take place October 10th.
