MOSES SUMNEY

We hadn't heard of Moses Sumney when his voice struct us over the head the first time at the Roseland Theater. He played before James Blake and his style, sound & live performance was something totally unexpected. Channeling ancient roots, he loops his voice and makes beats with the mic while signing. It's pretty wild to experience. By his raw talent, it was obvious Moses was a fit for the James Blake tour - James even mentioned during his set how much he enjoyed having Sumney on the road with them.Photos by: Marina Choy
