Chaotic balance are the words Eddy Bogaert elects to describe his work. Chaotic balance—similar to the strokes of our current reality. What does that look like visually? As Eddy so accurately explains, “life is full of illusion.” And you can see it in the bold contrast of his art. A visual explosion of pop culture—married with music and fashion—but with a darker edge. Sort of like our now.
Back when the world was what we’re presently calling ‘normal’, we had the sublime pleasure of experiencing Eddy’s artwork first hand. (If you’ve had the chance to meet Eddy Bogaert you will quickly find that his positive energy is infectious.). During NYFW, he kicked off Fashion is Art along with Shamballa Jewels and some other friends.

Like Eddy, the event was pretty magical. Shamballa Jewels—creatives known for wearable expression of ancient eastern philosophy, through Nordic design principles—hosted the event. Their gorgeous Soho showroom evoked spiritual awakening, featuring smoked oak finishes, and sparkling jewels. The event was awash with a smattering of NYC and creative world ‘who’s who’s’ enjoying a curated art collection, and live performances by Ryals, DJ Bobby Ishak, and Dublin’s pop-princess Daytona Rose.
Considering we can’t even leave the house now, we’re really looking back at all of our beautiful experiences with renewed gratitude, deep adoration, and escapist joy.
