Remember Vintage Design Collective? Hopefully you’ve had the chance to check it out since we first wrote about it, but if not, we’ve got word of an event that will give you just the push you need to head over there. As promised, VDC is utilizing its impressive space to the fullest, with a gallery opening this Thursday.
“Cactus Country” features the desert-inspired work of Los Angeles-based (but Portland native), Kevin Uehlein. Kevin has self-published numerous works (Sweatpants Kid, Dumbass Dog, Visions of the Aporkalypse, Humerus, Guardrail) which have appeared in INTENSE: Tales from the PNCA Graphic Novel Intensive, Automatons in Love, and The Dingo Kid. His prints will be available for sale at this event. For more information on the artist, check out his website.
This is the first of a new monthly art show series at VDC, so make sure to stop by and show your support! There will be music, refreshments and the chance to shop the drool-worthy selection of vintage goods.
