EYES&EDGE: What is the concept and intention behind this series of work?
ANGELO CAPACYACHI: This collection documents my journey coming back home during quarantine. The series was trying to encapsulate my feelings returning home after living at college in NYC for the past two years. For me, this series was documenting my own identity through the various places I’ve been through the past two years. The idea of moving and changing constantly with the world around you.

EYES&EDGE: What would you say are key visual elements that characterize your work?
ANGELO CAPACYACHI: I think one of the visual elements that would characterize my work would definitely be color. I try to keep the same color palette with a collection of work because I always think about exhibition and installation when doing work. It just sucks that everything is so online and “at home” right now because I would love to print these and put them up somewhere. Even if it is just my bedroom or classroom, it would make the color consistency come through. Another visual element would be honestly be motion. I like to capture motion whether its figures or even landscapes. I am interested in how objects (especially people) move through spaces and emotions.
