DINE OUT PDX

While the holiday season is a time for joy and celebration (and presents), it’s also a time to turn our attention to the less fortunate. This year, on the heels of Superstorm Sandy, we feel especially grateful for what we have and want to give back to those in need. Luckily, Country Cat chef Jackie Sappington and publicist Carrie Welch have organized an event to help us help others. This Wednesday, December 5th, 40 Portland restaurants will participate in Dine Out PDX. The restaurants (shown below) will donate a portion of their sales (10-20%) to the Red Cross for Hurricane Sandy relief.1. Le Pigeon2. Little Bird3. Saucebox4. Biwa5. Ruby Jewel6. Natural Selection7. We’d highly recommend What’s The Scoop? for a pint of their Big Apple flavor (50% of proceeds will be donated), Bowery Bagels for a New York style bagel with lox or, if you’re feeling adventurous, Aviary (with three former New York chefs at the helm) for their famous crispy pig ear. No matter where you end up on Wednesday, you’re sure to get a delicious bite to eat while helping the victims of Superstorm Sandy.
